What can we help with?

Adventure games at home

Practice with Skyship Explorer, Pactling Café, Trail Run, Pactling Defense or Ruin Raiders.

How do I enable the Adventure games?

Edit an active quest, add complete lesson questions in Practice, enable Adventure Mode and save. Students open Adventure Mode in their Sanctuary menu and choose Skyship Explorer, Pactling Café, Trail Run, Pactling Defense or Ruin Raiders. All use your lesson questions; none completes classroom assignments automatically.

How does Skyship Explorer work?

Students pick one to three Pactlings, then steer a skyship through changing stone gates, floating islands, wind and sky jellies. Lightning warns before striking: move sideways or use a quick dodge. Optional rescue and treasure missions add risk, and every fifth island includes a storm-serpent passage. Each island asks three untimed lesson questions, awards treasure and may start a normal encounter from the quest map. Students can bank their cargo or repair, upgrade and choose a harder route for richer rewards. All hull hearts lost means unbanked cargo is lost; captured Pactlings and battle XP stay earned. Crew talents, touch controls, pause/save, and a quest-specific class sky chart are included.

How does Pactling Café work?

Choose one to three owned helpers, then connect neighboring matching Pactling portraits to fill recipes and clear sugar or ice. Long chains burst; helpers spend charge to clear more tiles. Later shifts add spreading honey (shift 3), sealed jars (5), and baskets to deliver at the bottom (7). Shift 9 adds double seals and two deliveries. Honey only grows after a move, never while reading or thinking. Each board explains its objectives. A completed recipe asks three untimed lesson questions before serving. Progress saves between questions; wrong answers can be retried without losing moves. Three served orders give a gift and a possible normal map battle. Students choose an upgrade or bank their earnings. Running out of moves allows a free retry; served orders stay earned. Save & exit resumes the same visit, and the class café leaderboard belongs to this quest.

How does Pactling Defense work?

Students choose up to six owned Pactlings and answer three questions before each wave. Answers give temporary energy to place or upgrade defenders. Pactlings attack automatically; a charged special can be tapped. Every five waves offers treasure and a chance at a normal encounter. Students can bank their treasure or risk it by continuing. A fallen gate loses unbanked Defense treasure only. Save & exit keeps the run for later; each quest has its own class Defense leaderboard.

How does Ruin Raiders work?

Students choose up to three owned Pactlings, explore branching rooms and solve three puzzle seals per floor. Each seal needs one correct lesson answer. Hazards use three separate expedition hearts; mistakes on questions do not lose hearts. Side rooms offer gold and discoveries. The refuge awards treasure and may start a normal map encounter. Students can bank and leave, or risk their unbanked treasure on another floor with a temporary relic. Save & exit resumes later. Each quest has its own Ruin Raiders class leaderboard.

What happens when I close a lesson?

End the quest to remove it from student view and close its Adventure games. Already saved Defense and Ruin Raiders treasure, completed Skyship island rewards, and served Café orders are banked. Students keep all earned encounters and can finish them in order, even if they have not started yet. Finishing an encounter cannot reopen the closed game. Launch a new quest for a fresh leaderboard.

Your first classroom

From your invitation to a first quest.

How do I get started?

Register with the email address invited to the pilot, then use the Verify email button in your inbox. Setup guides you through naming a class, adding students, saving their login cards, and launching a short first quest.

Open classroom setup →
What should I try before my first lesson?

Add a test student, save their login card, and launch a quest with one or two activities. Open Student access in a separate browser session, try their login, and check that the quest appears. Mark one activity complete in the teacher workspace and check the student’s rewards.

Can I add a whole student list?

Open Classes, choose your class, then Students → Add student list. Paste up to 100 nicknames, one per line, or copy a single column from a spreadsheet. Preview the list and fix any duplicate names before adding everyone together. Choose a team or spread students evenly. The main Students roster also has this option, with a class selector. Use each student’s Login button afterward to set their sign-in details.

What is included in this pilot?

This pilot is for selected teachers and approved schools. Core classroom, quest, and reward features do not require AI. Teachers may connect their own OpenAI API project. School owners can connect a shared project in School AI, choose staff access, set request allowances, and review school usage. School classes use that shared connection when configured; personal classrooms remain separate. A school can disable AI generation in its classes. Review AI suggestions before adding them, then save the quest.

Schools & teaching teams

School registration, invitations, and shared classes.

How does a school join?

Choose School leader on Get started, verify your own educator email, and submit your school’s name, location, time zone and your role. School access needs pilot approval before teachers can be invited or classes created. Contact support to arrange approval and a teaching allowance.

Open school workspaces →
How do I invite and assign teachers?

In your school, open Teachers, enter their email addresses, preview the list, and send invitations. Each recipient signs in or verifies a new account with that exact email and accepts within seven days. Resend replaces an old invitation. In Classes, choose a lead teacher and optional co-teachers. Teachers only open assigned classes; owners and admins manage the school.

What happens to personal classes and shared lessons?

Joining a school leaves personal classes separate. Use the workspace menu to switch. Existing personal classes move only through an assisted transfer requested in school Settings. Share a saved school quest to the Quest Library, copy it to edit, or launch separate copies for selected classes. Student progress is never shared with a template.

How do we move students or replace staff?

Owners and admins use the school Students tab to move a student between classes while keeping their login and earned progress. Finish any open battle first; class-specific pending activities are cleared on transfer. Suspend a teacher to pause access, or remove membership when they leave. Assign a replacement in Classes. School records remain saved. Archiving a class pauses student access until it is restored.

Who controls school records and account deletion?

The school owner and admins can manage school records. Ordinary teachers cannot permanently delete school students. Deleting your educator account removes personal records and school access, but retains school-owned classes and student progress. An owner must offer ownership to another verified member in Settings and have them accept with their password before deleting their own account. AI keys remain personal.

Sign-in & student access

Invitations, passwords, and login cards.

My verification email or link is missing

Check Spam and confirm you used your invited email address. Request a fresh verification email from sign-in and use the newest message. If the address was not invited, contact the pilot organizer. Never send support a verification link or your password.

Go to teacher sign-in →
I forgot my teacher password

Choose Forgot password? on the teacher sign-in page, enter your account email, and use the reset button in the newest email. If you still cannot sign in, email support@pactlingacademy.com from that address.

Reset your password →
How do students sign in?

Students use the username and password on the login card you create for them. They do not register or need an email address. Use Students in your teacher workspace to manage their login credentials. Keep downloaded cards private.

Open Student access →

Classes & teams

Keep rosters and class progress organized.

How do I organize students into classes?

Students is your overall roster, with class filtering and Add to class. Open Classes to work with a class’s students, teams, and assigned quests. Teams belong to a class; use the draggable team controls within that class.

Open Classes →
Can I remove an old class?

Independent teachers can use Delete class in Classes and type its name to confirm. Students remain Unassigned with their accounts, Pactlings and earned rewards; that class’s assigned quests, activity records, teams, Campfire and competitions are removed. Reusable quests in the library and other classes stay. Schools use Archive class and Restore class in the school dashboard instead; school members cannot delete classes.

Remove from class or Delete student?

Remove from class keeps the student and their progress in your overall roster so you can assign them again later. Delete student is in the main Students tab and removes their account and saved progress. Read the named confirmation carefully before deleting.

Quests & activities

Launch lessons and recognize completed work.

How do I launch a quest for more than one class?

Create and organize your quests in Quests. When launching, select the classes that should receive it. Each class keeps its own progress. The Overview shows active quests; your other quests remain in the Quests library and folders.

Open Quests →
How do I mark work complete for some students?

Open the quest’s activity completion controls. Select individual students, or use Select all and uncheck anyone who was absent or has not finished. Complete the activity for that selection. Unchecked students keep their current progress and do not receive those rewards.

When do students get their encounter and XP?

Completing an assignment queues an encounter for its map. A student who is offline can receive it when they next sign in. Awarded Pactling XP must be distributed across their current team at the next safe moment; Split evenly is a quick option. Finish any required reward window before continuing.

Rewards & classroom powers

Points, requests, and teacher approval.

How do classroom power requests work?

Students unlock powers through the Reward Tree and request to use them. Pending requests reserve stamina; approving spends it. Classroom Powers shows requests for the selected class, and the notification indicator helps you spot requests waiting for approval.

Open Classroom Powers →
Can I change powers and restore stamina?

Use the Classroom Powers editor to adjust the powers to suit your class. Starting a class session restores two stamina, up to six. Choose classroom privileges you are comfortable approving, and explain your classroom rules to students.

Pactlings & Sanctuary

Battles, collections, supplies, and decorating.

Where do students find their Pactlings and moves?

Use the Sanctuary’s Pactling menu to open My Pactlings. An owned Pactling’s info shows XP progress, stats, Natural Ability, and learned skills. Students can change equipped moves from their learned move list. Pactpedia describes species and their locations.

What if a student runs out of Pact Scrolls?

Each Create a Pact attempt uses a scroll. Students can buy Pact Scrolls in the Shop with their gold. Inventory shows the items they have, and does not list items with zero stock. The teacher Battle Demo has test stock and does not change a student’s collection.

How does decorating work?

Enter Decorate from Sanctuary, then open My Decorations to place owned pieces, put them back in storage, or choose a background. Drag items or use the arrows, then Save layout; Cancel discards unsaved changes. Putting away never removes ownership. Sanctuary Reward Tree choices unlock six-piece decoration sets or special backgrounds, and earlier earned placeholders can be claimed in the Rewards section. Outside editing mode, the backpack opens Inventory and the cart opens the Shop.

Class tools & troubleshooting

Quick checks when something feels stuck.

How do I use class tools?

Open Class tools and choose a tool such as Trainer Picker, Team Maker, or Class Polls. Check the class selected at the top first. Trainer Picker can avoid picking a name twice; Team Maker can group by team count or students per team.

Open Class tools →
The wrong class or an empty roster is showing

Check the selected class at the top of the page. Students is the overall roster, while class tools, teams, and classroom powers use the selected class. An unassigned student stays in Students until you add them to a class.

Something did not save or a screen is stuck

Wait for the action to finish and check for an error message. Copy any unsaved lesson text before refreshing. Check your connection and sign-in, then reopen the screen. If it still happens, report the steps below and describe any message you see. Do not include student names, passwords, or login cards.
